On Wednesday, October 18, we held our General Assembly Meeting, new term Board of Directors and Audit Committee elections at the Istanbul Conrad Hilton.

After our Chairman Elshan Guliyev proposed Ural Aküzüm as the Chairman of the Meeting Presidium, and Yegane Guliyeva and Zenfira Aliyeva were elected and approved as presidium members, our meeting began with the national anthems of both countries.

Additionally, on the occasion of October 18, Azerbaijan’s Independence Restoration Day, a historical timeline video titled “A Flag Once Raised Never Falls Again” was presented to our members, celebrating Azerbaijan’s Independence.

Subsequently, the Chairman of the Board Elshan Guliyev presented the Activity Report on economic, political and new member development during the 2022-2023 period, as well as digitalization efforts aligned with the needs of the era. Afterwards, Audit Committee Chairperson Zenfira Aliyeva presented the Audit Committee Report to our members. The members who attended the meeting shared their observations, suggestions and contributions, which were listened to by the Board of Directors and Audit Committee members.

Following the presentation of candidate lists, voting took place. The new term Board of Directors and Audit Committee members were elected unanimously. Our General Assembly, which continued with ideas and contributions from our members for the upcoming period, approved the proposal to establish (i) Member Development (ii) Events (iii) Business Development (iv) NGO and Public Relations committees. The meeting concluded with a talk by our Guest of Honor, Prof. Çetin Kaya Koç, one of the world’s leading experts in the field of cryptology.
