
2nd Turkey–Azerbaijan Investment Forum Held in Baku
December 23, 2025 The 2nd Turkey–Azerbaijan Investment Forum was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, with the aim of deepening economic relations and increasing investment opportunities between the two brotherly countries. Organized in cooperation with the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) and the Turkey–Azerbaijan Business People and Industrialists Association (TÜIB), the forum brought together official institutions, business world representatives, and investors from both countries.
High-level state and government officials took part in the opening speeches of the forum.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov emphasized the importance of strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries on the basis of strategic partnership.
Vice President of the Republic of Turkey Cevdet Yılmaz expressed the determination of Turkey and Azerbaijan to work together in the fields of renewable energy, trade, and regional cooperation.
Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat conveyed at the forum the aspiration for a free trade agreement between Turkey and Azerbaijan and the goals of increasing the trade volume between the two countries.
The forum also featured prominent figures such as Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and AZPROMO Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev; panels and meetings addressed investment opportunities, economic growth strategies, and the development of trade infrastructure.
Comprehensive evaluations were made across various sectors within the scope of the Investment Forum. Participants discussed the expansion of investment and financing opportunities, food security and agricultural cooperation, and opportunities in trade, logistics, and supply chains. Additionally, energy and renewable energy investments, Industry 4.0 and technology-driven entrepreneurship projects, and the economic impacts of regional transportation corridors were among the main topics addressed in the panels. Within this framework, concrete proposals and future plans for developing existing cooperation areas between the two countries were put on the table.
Furthermore, important cooperation agreements were signed between companies of both countries in the energy sector within the scope of the forum; one of these was the energy investment cooperation between Azerbaijan State Oil Company SOCAR and Turkish company GAMA Energy.
In the speeches made at the forum, attention was drawn to the fact that the mutual investment volume between Azerbaijan and Turkey rests on solid foundations. It was emphasized that mutual investments amount to billions of dollars and growth targets in relevant sectors continue. It was stated that transportation and trade networks such as the Zangezur Corridor play a critical role in accelerating commercial flow between the two countries.
The Turkey‑Azerbaijan Investment Forum was also attended by Board Chairman and businessman Elshan Guliyev on behalf of the Association of Azerbaijani Business People in Turkey (TAIB). Chairman Guliyev held meetings with both Azerbaijani and Turkish officials and business world representatives to evaluate investment and trade opportunities during the forum. In these meetings, economic opportunities, joint projects, and new investment areas were discussed from the perspective of TAIB members.
